In keeping with our strategic growth plans aimed at the regional expansion of travel management operations, we are currently seeking to recruit dedicated, results oriented, and confident Travel Manager for our joint venture operation, Dnata Travel Afghanistan to be based in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Dnata Travel Afghanistan is an established joint venture company of Dnata Travel Services and extends total travel solutions by offering world class products and services bringing Dnata's high standards of quality to yet more customers.
Position: Reporting to a Board of Directors, the Travel Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Company, ensuring that strategic and tactical plans are in place to facilitate the achievement of revenue and profit targets and growth in market share.
Accountabilities will include developing the business operationally, achieving financial targets, and delivering a customer focused service in accordance with the industry requirements and corporate, local and international standards.
Having held similar senior positions in the past, applicants must possess strong general management and leadership skills, along with a well developed sense of commercial acumen, and the ability to bring a strategic focus to market objectives.
Previous experience working in a multi-disciplined, multi-cultural environment will also be essential.

This position is based in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Experience and Qualifications: University graduate in a business discipline with 10 years experience in airline / travel industry, of which a minimum of 5 years in a managerial level.
Financial acumen. Must have extensive experience across a broad range of airline / travel related disciplines with an in-depth understanding of professional, governmental and legal compliance requirements at a local and international level.
Must be able to provide supporting evidence of previous performance and track record.
Must possess excellent people management skills and techniques, with highly effective communication and negotiation skills.
Must have prior experience in travel agency product pricing, contract negotiation and must be familiar with the unique complexities associated with the industry and airline and customer requirements.
Ability to communicate in Dari and/or Pashto would be an advantage.
Previous experience / awareness of Asian market in airline / travel industry would be an advantage.
