Description R&D Scientists/Engineers are responsible for inventing, reapplying, developing and delivering break through product, process, raw material, and packaging technologies that provide delightful and winning brand experiences to consumers. R&D Scientist/Engineers work on cutting edge technologies with multi disciplinary and highly professional teams across the Company. In R&D, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of technical fields: Products Research, Process Development, Raw Material Development or Packaging Development. Products Research Scientists provide leadership and expertise to translate consumer needs into effective product designs and consumer driven innovation strategies. Product Researchers utilize quantitative and qualitative modeling tools to define consumer needs and technical requirements necessary to win in the market. They also establish technical product specifications that ensure consistent superior consumer satisfaction and work with the commercial functions to leverage our technology in the form of demonstrations, communication ideas and claims. Process Development Engineers lead the design, development and delivery of cutting edge manufacturing systems, processes and equipment to support P&G's innovation strategy.　 Engineers in this field will have responsibility for high end computer modeling, empirical modeling, bench testing, process/equipment design, qualification and start up of breakthrough manufacturing technology concepts in both experimental and commercial scale. Raw Material Development Engineers develop 'new to the world' raw material technologies to achieve unmet consumer needs and P&G manufacturing requirements at target cost on a global, strategic basis. Innovation occurs via in depth modeling, resulting in insights to identify key raw material properties and to predict and manipulate them most cost effectively. Material Developers deliver globally standard raw material specifications to characterize materials for ongoing consistency. Internal partnerships with Purchasing are critical for external, global supplier collaboration. Packaging Development Scientists lead innovative packaging development that provides superior functional performance and delightful package shelf appearance while supporting environmentally sustainable and/or responsible packages. Engineers in this field work with 3D digital modeling, material science experts, industrial designers and innovative consumer evaluations techniques to design and deliver unique and superior packages. Must be seeking a MS/PhD degree in a technical field such as Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Bio-chemistry, Physical Chemistry or a related field. BS degree with at least 2 years similar work experience is required. 2. Applicants must be a citizen of China or eligible to work in China, willing to be relocated in Beijing, China and to accept a locally based compensation.
