Requisition ID: 17167BRJob Title: IT Analyst/ProgrammerDivision: Emerging MarketsBusiness Unit: HeadquartersFocus Area Global Solutions (IT)Business Sub-Functions: (World) Web ApplicationsCountry: Hong KongState: -City: Hong KongJob Description: Main objective / purpose of the role:The role of the IT Analyst/Programmer is to support system development projects for the Emerging Markets (Asia) business.Critical success factors / key deliverables:- Effectively analyze, design, code and test new systems/system enhancements for IT projects.- Meet with external & internal users to analyze and review system enhancement requirements.- Effectively and efficiently provide user support to existing application systems.- Conduct comprehensive user requirement analysis, prepare detailed program specification and coordinate system implementation in a productive manner.- Proactively identify possible options for solutions and assess them for both technical and business applications.- Effectively ensure updated user documentation on enhancement.- Develop timely testing schedule for system application & implementation.- Develop applicable user manual.- Provide effective training and clarifications to users of new system /system enhancements.- Proactively keep up-to-date with technical and industry sector developments.Key strengths / personal attributes for the role:- Strong team player.- Keen learner.- Good problem solving skills.- Good communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English. Mandarin is an advantage.Qualifications/Work Experience: • 3+ years IT experience in in web application development using ASP.NET, VB.NET and MSSQL 2000/2008, SSRS experience is a bonus- Good knowledge in database management system.- Experience in mobile device programming is an advantage.- SharePoint programming experience is preferable.- Experience in Microsoft SQL server reporting services and analysis service development is an advantage.- Exposure in logistics operations, warehouse operations and regional user support is a bonus.- Hands-on experience in a customer focused environment.Education and/or Special Training: • Degree holder in information systems, computer science or related discipline.
