Head of HR Japan/Korea-1200844DescriptionThe primary role of the Director HR Japan is to provide HR leadership to all businesses in Japan within the context of the global and Asia HR strategies, key is to develop a tangible Human Capital plan for the market, ensuring that all line of business requirements are met and operating principles remain compliant with market regulations. The Director HR Japan is the primary business partner for all LOB heads in the market and is an active contributor to the Country Executive Team.In close cooperation with the functional groups within Human Resources, e.g. Compensation and Benefits, Global Talent, Global Recruitment as well as with global and Regional HR colleagues, this role ensures the flawless and efficient delivery of HR services to over 1400 employees and manages a team of 8 HR professionals. He/she represents American Express to external partners in the market.Fundamentally this role will develop the current business in an ever changing market and will further build a high performing HR team in Japan* Design, align and deliver a prioritized, targeted Human Capital plan for the market.* Is an active participant on the Japan Executive Team and guides the Executive Team in its actions as it relates to the Employee agenda. Provides in market alignment of processes where needed. Provides day to day leadership of HR Initiatives that are deployed in the Market by IMC Leaders , LOB HR RL’s and HR Centers of expertise.* Proactively manages the Employee Relations agenda for the Market.* Manages/contains employment risks. Ensures consistency & transparency of HR programs & policies that have employee implications e.g. Severance, Alternative working initiatives.* Deliver transformational HR solutions that enable and promote business growth while promoting, protecting and enhancing our employee brand and reputation within a compliant construct.* Provide dedicated HR support to senior ICSS Leaders and executive team* Leads the Market based HR employees, providing leadership which challenges, inspires and engages the HR team. Is strategically aligned and enables delivery of Business and HR solutions at the Market level.* Ensure that the HR team is business focused, with a will to win approach, strong engagement and commitment to the HR team globally and the Business. Ensure that key priorities are tackled through a focus on returning investment to the Business through margin improvement, growth initiatives and organization transformation.
