In depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database management system and development methodologies is required.This person should be at a minimum, a senior consultant level individual with extensive skills in SQL2008 from design, tuning and day to day operations perspectives.The key tasks that are required to be fulfilled:1. Own the entire schema including all tables and columns as well as indexes, primary and foreign keys2. Manage all database operations on a daily basis including rebuild database instances, backing up and restoring databases, executing data patches and synchronizing changes amongst the various database instances3. Execute and manage changes to the schema, be the gatekeeper who either approves or denies schema change requests4. Assist to tune stored procedures or re-write as appropriate5. Execute and manage changes to the seed and master data6. Execute and manage sync of changes to database schema and data across all dev and test environmentsResponsibilities? Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field? 6 - 8 years of related IT experience D20? Advanced SQL programming and database management skills? Microsoft SQL Server 2005/ 2008 - Microsoft DBA Certification is a plus? Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) - Must be proficient in SSIS package development and troubleshooting? Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)? Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)? Microsoft Visual Studio 2005? Must have advanced skills in SQL Stored Procedure development? Experience with .Net/C# is a plus? Proficiency with database query optimization is a plus? Formal Database Administration training and experience? Proficient/Expert in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint)? Strong problem solving and analytical skills are essential? Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills? Ability and interest in learning new skills? Ability to derive creative and efficient solutions.?
