Position will have ownership of client, product and sales numbers within the assigned area. You will be responsible for SEA & India Sub-continent, mainly Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam & India sub-continent. You will also be required to support the Regional Sales Manager for Asia Pacific region from time to time. The first six-months objectives Essential Responsibilities• Responsible for the allocated sales/ booking target within your region. • To prepare and submit bookings plan for each financial year. • You will be required to travel extensively within the following countries assigned, i.e. Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam & India sub-continent and from time to time within the Asia-Pacific region. • You will be responsible for Dresser Roots customers in your area. • To drive and implement product sales strategies to achieve the sales/ bookings plan and margins for each fiscal year in your assigned area • To execute Key Account Management of OEM Manufacturers for supply of Roots products into the regional market. • To submit a monthly report to the management (format to be provided), timely reporting is required. • To make regular sales & technical support calls to all customers designated as part of your responsibility. • To establish a strong relationship with our customers at all levels. • To ensure we are pre-qualified and approved on the bidder list for all projects within your area. • To ensure a winning bid strategy is defined for each strategic bid submitted. • The selling of our products shall be done on professional and technical sales level, leveraging and promoting the strengths of our brand names, technology and global presence. • To monitor closely the movement of our competitors, have this information reported correctly. • To continuously develop new market segments that will generate sales revenue and expand our customer base. • To support the product managers with market knowledge for New Product Developments. • To obtain a high level of knowledge of the countries, cultural values, ethics and our history in the countries under your responsibility. Agents/Representatives • To forge a close and solid working relationship within your assigned territory. • To provide all necessary levels of training and training tools. • To ensure they can sell our products at a technically competent level. Technical Support, Field Service Support, Managing of Inquiries • To provide technical and hands-on support to the customers within your area. • To provide technical training to our agents & representatives. • To assist agents and representatives in packaging of our goods, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and after sales issues in the role of technical advisor. • To work closely with the application team to process all inquiries in a timely manner. • From time to time to perform sizing/application and technical review of each inquiry. • To review costing, preparation of commercial tender for submission & negotiation with customers. • To liaise and communicate with Roots customers and representatives throughout the region as well as colleagues from Dresser Roots facilities in Skelmersdale (UK), Connersville (USA), Shanghai & Hangzhou (China). • To liaise with customers to ensure a high level of service. Qualifications/Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with at least 5 years experience in rotating equipment preferably centrifugal compressors and rotary positive blowers, regional sales and/or distributor management, minimum of 2 years experience at management level; • Ability to effectively present information to management, end users, distributors and/or customer; • Strong market analysis, strategic planning and leadership skills; • Uncompromised ethical behavior with high integrity characters; • Excellent interpersonal skills, self starter, highly organized and works well with all functional levels in the organization; • Excellent English language skills both written and verbal Desired CharacteristicsProduct Training for Roots To undertake extensive product training covering: Engineering (both Rotary Positive Blowers and Centrifugal Compressors) Specification reviews Costing analysis Products to be trained both locally as well as abroad in USA and will cover the following: Dresser Roots Blowers Centrifugal Compressors The comprehensive products training will be held locally and in USA at Roots facility. You will need to achieve a high level of technical competency and confidence on the Dresser Roots products covering design, materials, codes/standards, applications, technical descriptions, quality requirements and testing specifications. Others Promotes the organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law, the Code of Conduct, and other company policies and procedures. Exercises due diligence in preventing and detecting unethical or illegal conduct. In addition to the key responsibilities listed above, from time to time you may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Company.
